Billy ongoing: “My Dad hung up and said, ‘Elvis would like to introduce me to his newborn female, do you want to go with me?’ I said, ‘Of program.’ So we came out here…Elvis came down the steps holding Lisa in his arms. He claimed, ‘Mr Blackwood, this is my small girl Lisa Marie. Lisa, this is Mr Blackwood, just one of my heroes.’ I stood there in awe and transfixed, not indicating something, having in the moment.
“Quite a few decades right before that my Father experienced gotten a simply call. Gladys had passed away. Elvis asked for that the Blackwood Brothers sing at her funeral, which they have been honoured to do. My Father sang at Elvis’ funeral as nicely.”
Struggling to maintain back tears, he added: “So, this is form of complete circle. We are so honoured to be here and to be section of Lisa’s celebration now.”
